Masterplan update
On March 10, 2023, TCA received a preliminary copy of the Comprehensive Master Plan Update from Metropolitan Infrastructure (MI).
The report is over 55 pages long, with an additional 10-page Appendix and eight foldout maps.
Next Steps
The TCA Master Plan Committee is now tasked with categorizing the recommendations into manageable formats. We plan to prioritize and align MI's recommendations in preparation for the 2024 Capital Bond Program. Our priority and focus remain on improving the health of the creek.
Timeline - September 2023
District 14 - Councilperson Paul Ridley has created a task force to assist with his district's needs inventory for consideration into the 2024 Captial Bond Program. TCA will work closely with this team and others to ensure deadlines are met and Councilperson Ridley is armed with the necessary data to accurately represent the Turtle Creek corridor.
Starting the month of April 2023, the City of Dallas Office of Bond and Construction Management is hosting a series of virtual open houses to discuss the 2024 Capital Bond Program.
On a Wing and a Prayer
TCA wants to thank the Lyda Hill Philanthropies again for providing the funding necessary to update the Turtle Creek corridor Master Plan. Because of their funding and continued assistance, we can arm our councilperson with critical information and data. Without it, our success would have rested mainly on a wing and a prayer.
